8. Site-specific conditions
Transcripts are produced automatically by a speech model and contain mistakes, especially with noise, overlapping voices, names and technical terms. Review the text before relying on it, publishing it or using it as a record.
Speed and the longest file you can transcribe depend on your device’s memory and processor. Very long recordings can fail on phones and older computers.
The speech models are OpenAI’s Whisper, converted to ONNX and published by the onnx-community organisation on Hugging Face. They are downloaded by your browser directly from Hugging Face.
